White Peas Soup - Must try


White Peas Soup:



Ingredients:

White Peas - 1/2 cup
Tomato Paste - 1 cup
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Green chilly - 1 tsp minced
Corrainder leaves - 1 tbsp minced
Wheat flour - 1 tsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Cream - As per your wish
Salt - To taste
Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp





Method:

- Soak white peas in luke warm water for 3-4 hours.
- Later cook the white peas in pressure cooker till they are tender soft.
- Take butter in non-stick pan. Add ginger paste and wheat flour and roast it on low flame.
- When flour turns pink add tomato paste, green chilly and salt.
- When the mixture is properly roasted add the white peas with water into the pan.
- If required add more water to it and let it cook for five minutes.
- Add black pepper, garam masala and corrainder leaves to it.
- Now add cream and serve hot in soup bowl



Nutrional value of white peas:

White pea are good source of thiamin, folic acid, iron, copper, potassium, phosphorous, manganese and magnesium.
People suffering from iron deficiency should add white pea in their diet since white pea are good and rich source of iron.
It's a good source of protein for vegeterians and vegans.
Also this pea is great boon in weight loss since its a fiber rich which allows a proper digestion making you feel fresh and low calories and saturated fat.
